I hired Denise because I desperately needed a complete overhaul of my apartment and organization. I did not have any real organization, had way too much stuff, and it was genuinely a non-functional disaster that had built up over many years. I had tried many times to do it myself or with help of loved ones; but I could not do it on my own, it never stuck, and at this point I didn't even know where to start.
Denise was so, so helpful and her years of experience meant she knew exactly where to start even though I was overwhelmed and completely lost where to start or what to do. The end result of my apartment after was genuinely life changing; and something I can easily function in and upkeep.
I was worried about finding an organizer who understood mental health issues and especially ADHD which often requires some more specialized or creative organization methods to be able to upkeep effectively afterwards, which was one of my biggest struggles. But Denise has had experience before working to help others who have mental health problems, often hired by loved ones. And although some of my specific personal struggles or experiences with ADHD around organization were different or new information to her as coming directly from someone experiencing it; Denise was very open to learning new things and adapting and working with me in different ways where needed. She was very eager to help and adjust to what I needed, while also challenging me to trust her experience in areas of the process.
One thing I also really appreciated is how Denise always made sure that when we were finished working for the day; she would get everything tidy and functional before leaving. Even when there was a lot of things all over because of the process, she never left my apartment more of a mess than when she arrived; even if she was coming back the next morning. She also always kept her word if she said she would do something, and was such a help in fixing various small things that came up during the process.
For anyone who has mental health issues and/or are embarrassed about how disorganized or messy their space is; Denise has years of experience, is very eager to help and genuinely has passion for making a difference for people and is very open to new information and willing to work with you however you need. Sometimes she may challenge you to trust her and her experience; but if you have certain specific preferences or ways that must function a certain way, she will work with you to make your space the most functional for you. Do not be afraid to be honest with her if something in the process isn't working or needs adjusting to your needs. I will also say that trusting her in the process when she challenged me on something was absolutely worth it and worked out how she said.
She also donates to multiple charities and tries to make sure any items she receives or that she takes away from client's homes go somewhere to people who need them, which I really appreciate. Know that if your items or belongings you are parting with are still useable; they will go somewhere to someone who really needs them.
I highly recommend Denise for anyone who needs decluttering and organizing help. Even or especially if you have ADHD or other mental health issues. She genuinely has such a passion for helping make a difference in people's lives through their spaces.

Denise- the Minimizer helped me declutter my basement, garage, and kitchen. After years of neglect, it finally reached a point that a friend said, " it's Okay to ask for help!" Denise was prompt, organized, efficient, and very hard-working in my home. In just nine days, we worked together sorting and planning for an end point. Denise has a vision of how things could possibly look 3 to 4 steps beyond what I could see. I now call my basement a hotel room. It looks amazing. I even have my own workout room! My garage is organized and feels more open. My kitchen is tidy, including the cupboards and organized to perfection. My mind is more focussed with all the organization of these finished rooms. I am proud of the areas done in my house! Next is the dining room, living room and bedrooms. Can't wait to see Denise's magical outcomes in these rooms.
